Riche Terre Mall Powers Ahead with Mauritius’ Joint Largest Single-Rooftop Solar Installation

With the installation of a new 2,000 kW rooftop solar PV system by Ecoasis, Ascencia’s Riche Terre Mall now stands alongside Bagatelle Mall as the joint largest single-rooftop solar installation in Mauritius.
The system comprises 3,636 high-efficiency panels and 55 SolarEdge inverters, delivering an estimated 3.2 million kWh of clean electricity per year, equivalent to roughly 20% of the mall’s annual energy needs. This initiative will also help offset around 3,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually, contributing to a lower-carbon and more sustainable future.
Implemented under the Medium-Scale Distributed Generation (MSDG2) Scheme, all generated energy is supplied to the CEB grid through a gross metering arrangement.
This project reflects the strong collaboration between Ecoasis, EnVolt, and the Ascencia teams, reinforcing ER Group’s commitment to environmental responsibility and supporting Mauritius’ renewable energy targets.
